At 10pm tonight, Defected Character goes live.
For months, this has been nothing more than an idea in my head: sketches on scraps of paper, late-night conversations, endless revisions and the constant question of whether anyone would understand the message behind it all.
Defected Character was never created to celebrate perfection. Quite the opposite.
It’s built on the belief that every one of us carries flaws, fears and behaviours we’d rather keep hidden. We all have defects. We all wear masks. We all struggle. The difference is whether we’re willing to acknowledge them.
The Defect Series isn’t about pointing fingers or labelling people. It’s about honesty. It’s about starting conversations that most of us spend our lives trying to avoid.
Tonight, the first collection goes live, and with it comes a strange mix of excitement, pride and fear. Maybe people will connect with it. Maybe they won’t. The truth is, I genuinely have no idea.
But that’s the point.
Sometimes you have to put something into the world without knowing what will happen next.
Every design represents a piece of the human experience: insecurity hidden behind charm, manipulation driven by fear, entitlement, ego and the uncomfortable truths that exist within all of us.
At 10pm tonight, we’ll find out whether this message resonates with others.
Whatever happens, I’m proud that Defected Character exists.
Because growth doesn’t begin when we pretend to be perfect.
It begins when we’re honest about our imperfections.
